We are thrilled to announce that a research study from LabLENI has been recognized as one of the top 10 most-cited papers in Autism Research. The study, "Eye gaze as a biomarker in the recognition of autism spectrum disorder using virtual reality and machine learning: A proof of concept for diagnosis," highlights the innovative use of virtual reality and eye-tracking tools to provide more objective ASD assessments.
About the Study
Focusing on social communication and interactions, the study involved 55 children and revealed distinct visual attention behaviors between autistic and typically developing children. The research achieved up to 86% accuracy in recognizing ASD using machine learning models based on eye gaze data.
