Description

Development of a multimodal diagnostic algorithm including PET-MRI for the early diagnosis and monitoring of breast cancer. The objective of the project is the development of a multimodal recording method of images corresponding to mammographic scans using MRI, PET and X-Rays, fully automatic and transparent to the radiologist. In this project, we intend to take a further step by carrying out a multimodal image registration (based on tissue biomechanical modeling adapted to patient) of mammographic scans using MRI, PET and X-Rays in order to increase the specificity and sensitivity of these non-invasive diagnostic methods, thus reducing the number of unnecessary biopsies. All this having an impact on less damage to the patient and a greater precision in the diagnosis without increasing the investment in new diagnostic devices. This project is co-financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness within the call RETOS Collaboration of 2015 with file number RTC-2015-3287-1
