A LabLENI study analyses the influence of pheromones on buying behaviour: we are faster when we are afraid.

Our last study analyzes how pheromones influence when buying: we are faster when we are afraid. We have examined the effects of body odours on the speed at which consumers buy a product. Among other results, we have found that fear pheromones lead to faster purchasing decisions, especially regarding health products. It also found that the smell of happiness encourages faster decisions to buy beverages or technology, among other products. The work has been published in the journal Scientific Reports (Link)
